Speaking Engagements & Ceremony
Ancestral Wisdom • Ceremony • Community • Connection

Adam Yellow Bird DeArmon creates spaces where ancestral wisdom, ceremony, and contemporary life can meet.

Adam is available for speaking engagements, educational presentations, community gatherings, retreats, conferences, and ceremonial support. His work is grounded in relationship—relationship with the Earth, with Spirit, with our ancestors, and with one another.

Whether speaking to an intimate circle or a larger audience, Adam brings stories, teachings, and lived experience gathered through decades of walking between cultures and building relationships among Indigenous peoples and communities throughout North, Central, and South America.

SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS & PRESENTATION

Adam is available for in-person and online presentations, including Zoom gatherings, conferences, workshops, community programs, retreats, podcasts, interviews, and private groups.

Presentations may be created around the needs and interests of each gathering and can explore subjects such as:

Ancestral wisdom in the modern world
Indigenous perspectives on our relationship with Mother Earth
The Eagle, Quetzal and Condor traditions and the reconnection of the Americas
Ceremony as a living relationship
Building bridges between cultures and spiritual traditions
Community, cooperation, and collective responsibility
Honoring Elders and preserving ancestral knowledge
Sacred sites and the wisdom of the land
Personal transformation through service and ceremony
Moving from ancestral wisdom into meaningful action

Whenever appropriate, presentations may also include conversation, storytelling, prayer, music, or opportunities for community dialogue.

SWEAT LODGE CEREMONY

The sweat lodge is a sacred place of prayer, purification, gratitude, healing, and connection.

Adam has participated in and supported ceremonial traditions for many years and may facilitate or assist with sweat lodge ceremonies for communities, retreats, special gatherings, and invited groups.

Each lodge is approached as ceremony rather than performance. The intention, location, participants, and circumstances of the gathering are considered carefully so that the ceremony can be held with respect for the traditions, people, and relationships from which it comes.

CLEANSING & BLESSING CEREMONIES

Cleansing and blessing ceremonies may be offered for individuals, families, homes, land, businesses, community spaces, and special gatherings.

Depending upon the circumstances and intention, these ceremonies may include prayer, sacred smoke, traditional medicines, song, or other ceremonial practices.

A cleansing may be appropriate when entering a new home or space, following a period of difficulty or transition, preparing land or a gathering place for ceremony, or simply creating an intentional moment of renewal.

PERSONAL & COMMUNITY CEREMONIES

Ceremony marks the meaningful moments of our lives and brings communities together in prayer, gratitude, and connection.

Adam may be invited to facilitate or support weddings, personal blessings, sacred fire gatherings, drumming circles, seasonal observances, Earth Dance8 ceremonies, and other community celebrations.

Each gathering is approached with respect for its purpose, participants, and the traditions from which the practices arise. Ceremonies are thoughtfully developed through conversation and relationship rather than a prescribed format.

LAND & SACRED SPACE BLESSINGS

Adam may also be invited to offer prayers or blessings for land, homes, ceremonial spaces, community centers, and other places being dedicated to a meaningful purpose.

These gatherings acknowledge that our relationship with place is reciprocal. We do not simply occupy the land—we enter into relationship with it.

OPENING & CLOSING CEREMONIES

Conferences, retreats, community gatherings, organizational meetings, and special events may be opened or closed with prayer or ceremony.

These moments can help participants arrive together with intention, acknowledge the land and those who came before us, and bring a gathering to completion with gratitude.

TALKING CIRCLES & COMMUNITY DIALOGUE

Some gatherings call not for a lecture, but for a circle.

Adam can facilitate conversations designed to encourage deep listening, respectful dialogue, reconciliation, and connection among people from different cultures, traditions, generations, or perspectives.

These circles can be especially meaningful for organizations and communities exploring questions of ancestry, cultural understanding, Indigenous wisdom, environmental responsibility, spirituality, and our shared future.

RETREATS & PRIVATE GATHERINGS

Adam is available to participate in or help create retreats and private gatherings that weave together teachings, ceremony, conversation, sacred sites, and time on the land.

Programs may range from a single session or ceremony to multi-day experiences and can be developed collaboratively according to the intention of the group.

INTERVIEWS, PODCASTS & MEDIA

Adam is also available for selected podcast, radio, documentary, film, and media interviews relating to Indigenous wisdom, ancestral traditions, ceremony, cultural bridge-building, sacred sites, and his decades of work connecting Elders and communities throughout the Americas.

INVITATIONS

Every gathering is different.

Rather than offering a fixed program, Adam prefers to begin with a conversation about the people involved, the purpose of the gathering, and what is being called for.

Speaking engagements, presentations, ceremonies, and community gatherings may be arranged locally in Sedona and throughout Arizona, elsewhere in the United States, internationally, or online.

To invite Adam Yellow Bird DeArmon to speak, participate in a gathering, or discuss ceremonial support, please contact us.

When ceremony is requested, availability and appropriateness are determined through conversation and relationship. Ceremonial practices are approached with respect and are not presented as entertainment or commodities.
